After the sight of Kapshagai Lake (beautiful waters, we would have loved to go for a splash there), we had a hard time finding the way to Tamgaly-Tas, a site where there are rock engravings of Boudha and Shiva. We finally found it after having asked several people and obtained contradictory information! The trail to go there was pretty rough. After a while, we found the arch demarking the entrance of the site (its name was not even mentionned...). The place was absolutely beautiful and we went for a small hike there. The view of the Ili River was fantastic.

Only problem: we couldn't find the damn petroglyphs and nobody could help us finding them!! Too bad.. Kazakhstan still has a lot of efforts to do to promote tourism...!
